I swear it wasn’t meant to be a joke, but the cruelest jokes are those the universe plays on us. Below you find the post I initially wrote, but that is not true anymore. I only just found out, so I can’t really tell you what it means for the upload schedule.
I'm taking a break. Ever since I started this comic more than eight years ago, I’ve never taken a break that long. I skipped a week before, but this time I’m going to skip three. The reason is that I’m going on vacation. I’ve been on vacations before and usually managed to draw comics regardless, but this time I feel like it might be too stressful. I’m not just going to relax at home or at some beach, but I’m going to Japan. I’ll be travelling around Japan with some friends, hopefully visiting Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka and Kyoto. I don’t want to put myself under pressure to release comics during that time. I’ll only be gone for about two weeks, but factoring in preparation and jetlag, the first time I am confident I can release a comic again without shifting the schedule is April 28.
So I hope you’ll be fine without your weekly fix of bird.lol for about a month. After that, I promise I will continue to upload regularly every Tuesday again. I still massively enjoy making these comics and I really hope you enjoy reading them just as much.

Well, I’ll not be literally seeing you. In fact, I still don’t even know who reads this. I should really figure out that whole “community” thing at some point. Feel free to write me an e-mail if you want to say hi.
Oh, and in case you’re wondering why I’m not going to Japan anymore: a certain armed conflict plays a significant role in that. Thank you Mr. Trump.
