Oh, I'd love to walk home with you ...

... but I have to ... go the other direction ... because ... I ... uhhh ... have an appointment ... at ... the ... dentist. ... What? ... Yeah, I know it's 3 am ... I always make my dentist's appointments at night ... really cuts the waiting time, you know. Oh, don't worry about coming with me, it's at the other end of town. ... What? ... Yeah, I know, it's a bit unpractical that my dentist is that far away ... but ... you know ... it's not easy to find a dentist that makes appointments at 3 am. Anyways, byeee!

Comic transcript

Panel 1:
G, H and a duck are walking home from a party.
G: That was an awesome party. Too bad it’s over already.
H thinking: Oh man, I hope that duck walks in a different direction. They’ve been annoying me the whole evening.
Panel 2:
H thinking: Good thing they don’t know where I live. I’ll just go a different way. If they go left on Partridge Street, I’ll just go right and take a detour through the park. That extra two kilometres would be totally worth it. Hmm, ... but what if they say that way is also fine for them and come with me ... maybe I could try ... crossing the highway ... dangerous, but ...
Panel 3:
G: I’ll have to head off this way now and I guess you guys will both go that way. Did you know you live super close together? You’re basically neighbours!
D: Cool!
H thinking: Fiddlesticks
