The first bird.lol comic was published on February 17, 2018. The comic, initially made in German, exists even longer. Still, everything is finite and at some point a comic will be the last one. Don't worry, this one probably isn't. I just wonder if I'll know it at the time.

Come to think of it, so many things happen for the last time without anyone knowing. Some people tell you to live every day as if it was your last one, but that is actually quite easy if you assume that you won't know that it's your last day, so you'll likely live your last day like you'd live every other day.

I honestly don't really know where I'm going with this. I'm quite hung over. Just live your life and be happy, I guess ...

Panel 1:
G and H are at their usual table.
H: I have to tell you something. You know that my thesis is almost done, right? I’m looking for jobs right now and I applied to a really nice company in Hummingburg.
Panel 2:
G: Isn’t that ... like ... super far away?
H: Yes, it is, but ...
G: That company sucks. Terrible job. Cannot recommend.
Panel 3:
H: angry I haven’t told you anything about it yet.
G: tearing up I know all the relevant details.
H: Don’t be difficult about it, it’s ...
Panel 4:
G: angry, crying What, did you expect this to be easy? We’ve been sitting here, at this table, regularly for almost five years. We’ve been doing everything together, we’ve been through so much and now this all ends, because you decide so.
Panel 5:
G: Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying “don’t go”. You’re my friend, so seeing you happy is my highest priority. I’d catch a bullet for you, after all. Just don’t make the mistake to think this could ever be easy.
H: still angry Are you done?
Panel 6:
H: It’s 100% home office.
G: sweating Oh. Haha. Whew.
