Sorry.

Yes, I know, it's called bird.lol, but does this really mean I can never make a sad comic? Besides, that was one of the very few top-level-domains where I could register a four letter word domain.

If you, or anyone you know, struggles with suicidal thoughts, please get help. Wherever you live, there is probably a hotline you can call right now and talk about it (If you live in Germany, it's 0800 111 0 111). Also, if you are currently struggling, please stop reading now. In the following, I will express some thoughts on suicide that I really want to be conceived only by people who are in a stable mindset.

So, are you sad? I sure am. I even cried a little while drawing this comic. Why did I do this then? Well, I felt like this was an unexpected twist that builds further tension in my universe and keeps the story interesting. It felt rudely inappropriate however to make a joke about it, so I thought: "why not make a sad comic for once". In addition, it gives me an opportunity to reflect on suicide using my newly acquired nihilistic mindset.

But why even think about suicide? Isn't that the first step towards becoming suicidal? No, I think the contrary is the case. I think it can be very healthy to think about suicide when you're in a stable mindset, so you are not surprised when the thoughts come to you in a dark hour. Also, anyone who knows me will be aware that I hate any prohibitions on thinking and will think about absolutely anything I want. It is important to maintain a strict barrier between your thoughts and your actions. There is nothing wrong with thinking about things that you would never ever do. I often do this just for fun, but it also helps to have really well thought out reasons why you would never ever do these things. Suicide is definitely one of them.
