I was going to write a blog post for this comic, but instead I felt a sudden rush of inspiration to write a short story and spent several hours writing. I'm not done though, and I don't know if I will ever be. If I actually finish it, I'll definitely share it here. I will not promise anything, however.

H: thinking Aww man, public transport is the worst. I don’t want to got to work. Why does my life suck so much. Panel 2: The Magpiecoon emerges from the crowd.
M: Well, it doesn’t have to suck. If only you worked harder, you might be able to afford a car.
H: angrily shouting Should I really sell my life, just so it doesn’t suck so much? Everyone stares at H.
P (from the crowd): Yeah, we all do it. Panel 3: The Magpiecoon transforms into a Lovecraftian being.
M: Our only sensible scale of values is based on lessening the agony of existence.
H: thinking Ok, no more Lovecraft before bedtime.
